Chris + Gina’s Welcome Dinner | Healdsburg Golf Club, CA

Wow, I’ve really been busy lately! So much so I’ve really neglected my blogging… But, fret no more, readers! I’m going to try to come back with a vengeance and really catch up, I mean, it can’t be that hard because I’ve been shooting tons lately, right?

Over Labor Day weekend, I got the opportunity to shoot a Welcome Dinner the night before a formal wedding. It was a perfect evening at the Healdsburg Golf Club at Tayman Park. Perfect summer evening, perfect breeze, perfect everything. Everyone, including the bride and groom, were relaxed and thoroughly enjoying the night.

There were endless pizzas, pastas, salads, cookies, eclairs, macarons, macaroons, and noci gelato & sorbetto! Oh, and of course, lots of drinks to choose from too.

Gina and Chris, thank you for letting me document this special night!

Joanne + Greg | The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone

Last month I blogged about Joanne and Greg’s engagement session I did back on Christmas Day, 2009.

Today, I’m blogging Joanne and Greg’s wedding because it’s their one year wedding anniversary!

The wedding ceremony and reception took place at the picturesque Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley. The day before, Joanne and Greg invited their guests to attend a cooking demonstration where I took some fun shots, learned to cook a chilled soup, and drank some of the taste the yummy soup…

The weather was absolutely perfect on Joanne and Greg’s wedding day. Henry and I even managed to squeeze in a nice wine tasting at one of our favorite wineries before the wedding. Then, armed with my favorite camera and lenses, we spent the afternoon and evening celebrating the union of this perfect couple with their closest family and friends.

I love this shot of Joanne’s parents’ hands. Yes, being a guest does have it’s advantages when it comes to different vantage points!

The CIA chefs in their element! And the reception setup was simply gorgeous!

Thanks to Henry for snapping a photo of my kissing the bride. Think it measures up to the bride and groom’s kiss?

Love these fun dancing shots!

Happy Anniversary Joanne and Greg!

Amy + Randy | Happy 3 Year Wedding Anniversary!

I recently blogged about Amy and her beautiful girls (ok, at the time of the shoot, it was one girl in person, and one girl in belly). What I didn’t mention in that blog post was that I also had the pleasure of photographing Amy and Randy’s wedding 3 years ago today.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AMY & RANDY!

Wow, has it really been 3 years? How time flies! Then, when I sit down and think about it again, has it only been 3 years? It’s wonderful people like Amy and Randy who made me the photographer I am today. In the last 3 years, I’ve had lots of wonderful opportunities to capture the beautiful memories of many, each uniquely gorgeous, weddings. I’ve made friends, learned along the way, bettered my skills. Each and every one of my couple has put their trust in me in documenting their special day, and I’ve delivered the absolute best I can every time.

Amy and Randy were extra special. They trusted me when I was still a hobbyist carrying around a Canon XTi. They had hired no other photographers — it was up to me and my husband Henry (who has also created his own photography brand, Woodson Photography). They gave me their trust, and my start, and I’m forever grateful.

Hmm, funny thing… there was one girl in belly during this shoot too! Tee hee hee. Congrats again, and I love you guys!
