It’s All About a Great Deal, Part II!

A couple of weeks ago I posted a “It’s All About a Great Deal” post featuring some of my favorite a-deal-a-day local service merchants/stores/restaurants. I want to follow that up with some of my favorite product deal sites… I am still a newbie in the world of “member only overstock sales” but, I have many, many friends who swear by them and find the best deals from really high end brands for everything from clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags to furniture and houseware.

Gilt
Rue-la-la
RowNine
ideeli
Hautelook

I recently ordered my very first item from Gilt, a pair of Pearl Eyes Cooling Eye Mask by Inka for $16 (retail for $26 on Sephora!). I can’t wait for it to arrive.

There’s also a brand new deal site for food call Feastery – apparently, they are an exclusive, members-only website that offers unique experiences and preferred pricing at great restaurants, like a gourmet concierge. Sounds exciting, right? Let’s see if they live up to their name!

Oh, and of course, I have to end this blog post with a photo, no exceptions! Today, I picked another photo from my Project365 which I think perfectly reflects the theme of today’s post on deals, I hope you agree!

It’s All About a Great Deal!

So I think I had mentioned that I want this blog to show my readers who I am. Something I love to do almost as much as photography, is finding great deals. Lately, there’s been a slew of new “a deal a day” sites out there focused on services, and well, it’s so far allowed me to buy breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, dance classes, gym memberships, massages, chiropractor visits and even city parking passes at a significant discount.

As I’m finding these deals, it got me thinking — so many people don’t know about all of these yet! So, without further ado, here are some of my favorite deal of the day sites:

Groupon
TownHog
KGB
Living Social
HomeRun
Plum District
Social Buy
Voyage Prive

Check out each site – you can sign up to get their daily emails too so you can see when the right offer comes along. Some of the deals are things you need (which, makes buying them a no-brainer), some of them are more of a luxury (dinner at a 5 star restaurant for half price? Sign me up for that special treat please!), but you just never know. Plus, most of the deals are only good for a day or so, and that’s why I like getting the email notifications (which, you can always delete when it’s a deal you don’t want!).

Since this is still a photographer’s blog, here’s a quick snap of the cupcakes I got for half off through my very first Groupon. ^_^

There are lots of similar sites for products (clothes, jewelry, purses) too — but that will be another post on another day!
By the way, feel free to leave me a comment and let me know if I missed any.
