Joanne is one of my closest friends I met during the 5 years I lived in Seattle. We started off as co-workers in 2004, then became cube-mates, lunch buddies, you name it. Before long, she was helping me plan my wedding in 2006 (ok, actually, she was forced to because, well, she can hear all my conversations with my vendors on the phone!)

Even after I moved to the Bay area, we kept in touch via phone and instant messaging. Since my in-laws live in Seattle, I traveled up north often, and every time I’m up, we always did our best to meet up. We had lots of fun times… And we helped each other through lots of personal things too, although, I have to admit, I seemed to always be the needier friend with more issues!

Joanne always had suitors… But it wasn’t until Greg came into the picture that she was finally swept off her feet. When they asked me to photograph their engagement (I didn’t want to photograph their wedding because I wanted to attend and be a proper guest!), I was so excited!

We started the day at the Olympic Sculpture Park, stopped by the waterfront and ultimately ended up at the Pike Place Market and Post Alley. We went for the less touristy feel version of the famous landmarks, I think the photos turned out great!

By the way, like all of my blog posts, this post seem to be a bit delayed — they have been married now for almost a year! How about I promise that I’ll blog about their wedding soon?
